Did driving license renewal on my own .. Overall very smooth process with non aadhar authentication. I just had to go to RTO to submit my existing license and Xerox of application and address proof. 6 days it took to approve license and get a digital copy. within 12 days license was at my doorstep. Do not take help from agents .. even if you do they will charge you double or even triple cost of application.

I had been there for renewal of driving license. The procedure is simplified now due to online application. Previously it was very difficult to get the work done without agents

Excellent experience in a Government department, was a pleasant surprise, clean, organized, efficient, friendly, process oriented, clear guidelines, prompt, fast. After a very long time happy to see a professional nice government department. Thanks to e-governance & the nice staffs here. This RTO branch serves Learner license & Endorsements, ample open car parking (20 INR parking fee, worth every penny), nicely managed, someone even assist in parking and slot allocation. Greenish with Trees, has two buildings, one with ground floor and another with multiple floors. First one serves all processing & scrutinize, other one issues / delivers the physical licenses / license cards in the first floor. Instructions are very prominent everywhere, opens by 7:30 am (nicely cleaned and sanitized before that), has separate sections for Biometrics, Document verification, Computer based online Learner license test (has several rows of computers, each slot / cubicle nicely numbered). Staff in computer / online section provide enough guidance to the participant. Parking is wheel-chair supported but entrance inside the buildings (two separate buildings) requires changes to support wheel-chair (hope the authorities add that support soon). Separate parking is available for visitors and staff. Very happy to see a nice, professional, efficient Government department. Thanks to all the honest & efficient staffs here. Note: One excellent person has done a great pictures on the floor on road safety just using rangoli powder. Amazing, talented soul! (pictures attached)

I recently done hypothecation of my car from RC in Nov25. I watched youtube videos and done process my self. agent ask me 1500 rs for such process , I have done my self within 258 rs. just need to go one time again just for signature of office member. 1. watch video online for your process 2. fill form online via RTO site and do government online payment fee. take print out of what you have paid online 2. collect all necessary xerox document and keep extra document with you . keep print out of RTO and postal fee receipt. 3. go to RTO office in weekday , keep collected document and original document as well. once submitted document take sign of office member on receipt you pay online. mentioned your mobile number in form you have submitted to office staff. 4.if everything is ok. RTO staff call you for extra document otherwise you just need to come once only for sign in front of RTO staff. 5. once you sign within one week you will get RC via post office. process is very simple for every RTO process. just watch some youtube video regarding your process. Agent make fear on your mind about complex process but you can do it on your own.

I recently visited the Pune RTO for my learner's license test and various other RTO-related tasks, and I must say that my experience was quite positive. The staff at this RTO is exceptional. The officers, especially those handling the learner's test, are incredibly friendly and accommodating. One notable aspect of the Pune RTO is the presence of numerous agents who are there to assist you if you're unsure about the procedures or requirements. Their guidance can be immensely helpful and reassuring for individuals navigating the complex RTO processes. However, the one issue I encountered was the timing of operations. Regardless of your appointment slot, the RTO opens at 9:00, which can be a bit inconvenient for those who prefer to get an early start. It would be great if they could consider offering appointments earlier in the day to accommodate different schedules. Overall, the Pune RTO is a well-managed facility with a friendly and supportive staff. With a slight adjustment in opening hours, it would be even more convenient for visitors.

Had a smooth and well-managed experience at RTO Pune. The staff was cooperative, the process was systematic, and the work was completed efficiently. Digital services and document verification were handled professionally. Overall, a much better and organized experience than expected.

I went to the RTO office with the following documents and a PEN. 1. Original RC card. 2. ⁠Original NOC from Bank 3. ⁠Original form 35, two copies signed by me as well as the bank official with stamp 4. ⁠Xerox copy of the PUC certificate 5. ⁠Print out of the insurance 6. ⁠Xerox of the Aadhaar card 7. ⁠Xerox of the pan card 8. ⁠Printout of the payment done of ₹ 258/- on Parivahan website I reached by 1015. The premise was mostly empty. I got parking right after entrance without any hassle. Then I went out (On the left, under a metro pillar) to take some xerox and prints. If you come prepared, you may save some money. He was charging Rs 10 for prints and Rs 5 for xerox. Then, I went in through the main gate on the left. Inside, on my left, there was a helpdesk. Madam was helpful to guide me towards the Non-TRANSPORT section. You have to go below the stairs through a small passage and reached the non-transport section. The place had car number series wise window. Everything was empty. I went to the designated window. This person took all my docs and selected a few. Then, I was redirected to another window who checked everything and took my signature and thumb stamp on some of the papers. I was sent back to the first window where I was given a form to fill basic details like car number, name etc. Once done, submitted and done. The person told "It will be done in 30 days". The whole process took less than 10 minutes. I was out of the RTO by 1045. I saw a board with documents required for different tasks while coming out. Observations: 1. They are asking for an online application from everyone. I think it's become mandatory. 2. I checked with some agents. They quoted 1200 - 2500 and insisted on physical visit. I decided if I have to visit anyway, I will try on my own. 3. The premise was empty. May be because it was mid-week. Reaching early helped as well. 4. People were mostly helpful. 5. Sharing my experience at Pune RTO - Sangamvadi to update mobile number with vahan registry. RTO has dedicated counters (based on number series) to update mobile number and it is not requiring any fee. Officer was very supportive and calmly handled the entire process. Vehicle owners only require copy of registration certificate and Copy of E-Aadhar (note that if you are using PVC card or cut out of Aadhar then they require original PAN for owner verification) along with application to update mobile number. I used application form provided by one of the good reviewer who uploaded it along with his review. For ready reference, I attached the same. Once application is verified by officer with originals, Officer informed me that I will receive SMS from VAHAN within 3-4 days about the update. One physical register also maintained by officers to capture vehicle information along with mobile number & name of the owner. Entire process takes less than 5 minutes at the counter. I received SMS about the update on next day itself. :) Note - If you are taking PVC card copy of Aadhar instead of E-Aadhar downloaded from Aadhar portal or mAadhar App, please keep original PAN along with its copy for verification. Direction to reach the counter: Once you enter sangamwadi office, main building is on the right side. Park your vehicle on left side area if you are traveling through your vehicle. Enter in main hall from front side by climbing few steps and then you will see inquiry counter. See little right side and you will find small walkway going towards back side of the building. Walk few steps and enter into the room near the staircase. You will see multiple counters with vehicle sequence numbers. Here you are and just check with any officer on counter to identify specific one for mobile number update.

I recently transferred my car registration from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to Pune, Maharashtra. Honestly, I had heard that the process could be very difficult and time-consuming, but my overall experience turned out to be much better than expected. The process was not completely smooth and I had to visit the RTO office multiple times. However, with proper follow-up and my own efforts, the work was completed successfully. I appreciate that most of the officers and staff members were cooperative and guided me whenever required. Like in any government office, there were one or two instances where I faced minor inconvenience, but those were manageable and did not affect the overall outcome. In the end, I am satisfied with the support provided and the completion of my vehicle transfer process. Thank you to the officers and staff of the Regional Transport Office Pune for their cooperation.

Mobile number update for vehicles. Online update on vaahan doesn’t work. My application is still pending for months. Physically we need to fill form then only they update mobile number. Follow these steps: 1. Fill this form attached in review. 2. E aadhar card copy, RC copy. 3. Owner of vehicle has to be present while submitting form as they take sign and thumb. Within 4-5 days number gets updated and receive SMS vaahan.
